All network traffic to the sites www.jammed.com, lists.jammed.com, www.newzbot.com, www.edfingers.com, and www.whetware.com is logged by us (and potentially anyone with technical or legal means to) for security and traffic analysis purposes. The raw logs are not public, nor are they shared with anyone, but analysis of the logs -- specifically inbound web traffic -- is made public.
When you visit these sites, we log your IP address, your browser type, and any coookies that we've sent you (or any cookies that your browser happens to send us.)
At no point do we capture or intend to capture any personal information from you such as name, email address, or phone number. This information is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail or leaving feedback on the site directly. (We suggest that you not leave personal information in any publically accessible online forums.)
If you send us email, you are not added to any mailing lists. We will keep your email private (unless it's a threat or DMCA takedown notice, in which case it will be made public.) If you would like to contact us but are concerned about privacy, we suggest you use PGP or GnuPG (public key available here.) There is no guarantee that inbound and outbound transactions with our network is not being monitored, so if you need to contact us with a reasonable assurance of privacy, use PGP.
A subset of pages will set cookies in your browser. Most don't. The cookies are used for silly things like polls or voting systems.
Some sites have advertisements. In some cases the ad banners are served from a 3rd-party server. This 3rd-party server will know your IP address, browser type, and "referring URL" -- the URL you were looking at when the ad banner was shown to you. If this is a problem for you, we suggest using a tool to sanitize your web sessions.
That is all.
