who am i
lazy, pale, aging computer geek that enjoys machines & music, but not much in the way of nifty security stuff or hacks like newzbot lately, which makes me a little depressed. before i cut my hair i posed for the camera (i'm much better looking on my website than i am in person). contact possible given sufficient wit & unspammy subject headers.

who i [ought to be more] like
mlb see also, sweede. garymac survives as a grizzled veteran of war, pestilence, knife wounds, buggy debuggers, solder burns, boulder biking, and women. pab is an optimistic unix guru, far more coordinated than i. rich, see also polymath. i haven't spoken to jdc, del, or tjk for many years, but i'm sure they're still fine people and not violent repeat offenders.

were it not for these fine products, i'd still be bagging groceries
debian is my linux distro of choice. lean, powerful, and apt-gettable. redhat was my linux distro since 4.2. at some point i tired of RPM-dependency hell and moved on to debian. immunix is a hardened redhat-based distro created by people with lots of smarts but but not enough marketing. first booted netbsd on my se/30 and stared stunned at the # prompt. openbsd, the standard for secure distros. sunos um, i mean solaris skills pay the bills.

echo "jevgvat pbqr vf abg n pevzr" | tr 'n-za-m' 'a-mn-z'
css-auth.tar.gz is what you distribute when you want to practice civil disobedience against injustice without having to work hard. EFF kicks at the spindly knees of the incontinent US legislature. 2600 bugs the hell out of alot of people, but not me. i used to read phrack religiously, but not so much any more. have they sold out, or is it me?

input overrun
URLs thrown into the link stew taste del.icio.us (if a bit nutty):
