h_rpcinfo.c - 15 Jul 1997 jwa@jammed.com Tested under Linux 2.0 Sites with a clue (e.g., those who experienced the Great NFS Hacking Fest of 1993) usually have port 111 filtered at their Internet router. However, Sun decided to add a stupid worthless annoying "feature" to rpcbind-- in addition to listening to port 111, it will also listen to port 32771. Why? Who knows. What this means is people can sneak past your port filter and get dumps of your RPC services. Sigh. suggested usage: h_rpcinfo -n 32771 -p hostname
